Too Faced Just Peachy Mattes palette review
When it comes to eyeshadows, I definitely tend to lean more towards warmer bronze and gold shades. But there was something about the Too Faced Just Peachy Mattes palette that drew me in. Maybe it was the fact that I didn’t really have any colors like this in my collection. Maybe it was because I’m a sucker for anything matte. Or maybe it’s simply because I have an eyeshadow obsession that can’t be stopped. All I know is that the second I saw this palette on display, I knew that I had to have it.

Starting off, you can see that the packaging for this palette is beautiful. The shades are housed in a hard metal/plastic compact that helps add an extra layer of protection (especially while traveling). It closes via magnet and the clasp is designed to look like two adorable gold peaches. The top is designed with a gorgeous pink ombre and the name of the palette is in a gold script. When it comes to Too Faced products, their packaging can be really hit or miss with me, but this one definitely hits the nail right on the head. Love it!
Opening the palette up, you’re greeted with a huge mirror and twelve shades. All of the shades have adorable peach related names to correspond with the theme of the palette. So far I’ve been drawn to everything in the middle row (Peach Butter, Just Peachy, Peach Punch, and Just Ripe). I’ve also used the chocolate shade in the last row (Chocolate Dipped) as a liner and it’s worked out pretty well!
When designing this palette, Too Faced definitely tried to create as many different peach shades as possible with a bunch of different undertones. This gives you a palette that is diverse enough to build a look no matter where you’re going or what you’re doing.
I’m admittedly always a little bit weary of shades that have pink or red undertones to them. My skin is very fair (read: pale) so when it comes to colors like these I have to be careful that it doesn’t make me look ill or like I’ve been crying. But these colors end up transferring from the palette to the skin beautifully. Most of them have amazing pigmentation. And the ones that aren’t as pigmented, build really easily. They also blend beautifully into each other so if you’re not feeling a bold look, you can create a soft romantic one.
The only real issue that I have with this palette is that the product itself is very soft and there’s a lot of fallout. There are some eyeshadows that when I pick them up on my brush, I can do a little tap and that shadow is not going anywhere. With this, if I tap my brush, you definitely see a lot of product falling off. I highly recommend using a primer on your eyes before putting this product on. That will help with some of the fallout and make sure it stays in place all day.
Overall I’m really happy with this palette. Like I said, it has a bunch of different shades in gorgeous colors. Plus it only really has one con that is easily solvable (primer!). If you’re thinking about getting this product, I’d say go for it! It’ll be the perfect addition to your beauty collection.
