Whenever it’s time to pick up a new shampoo or conditioner, one of the things I like to do is take a walk along the hair product aisle and see if there are any new brands. I know that some people have their ride or die brands, but I feel like I’m forever looking for mine. My hair is pretty fine but also really thick, so I’m constantly wrestling between adding moisture but also not letting that weigh it down. It’s the battle between limp hair or dry hair.
Recently I was in Target looking through their beauty section and I found a new brand I hadn’t tried yet. Named Love Beauty and Planet, they pride themselves on offering products made of ethically sourced and natural ingredients.
I don’t know if you’re technically supposed to do this, but I decided to mix things up with my products. I ended up getting a shampoo from their smooth and serene collection. And picked up a conditioner from their radical refresher collection. It looks like they have six different collections available to help a wide variety of hair issues, so you should be able to find something to suit your hair care needs.
The smooth and serene shampoo is made out of argan oil and lavender. According to their website, this helps nourish hair while calming down any potential frizziness. The radical refresher conditioner consists of tea tree oil. This detoxes and volumizes hair while keeping it smelling fresh.
The one thing I loved right away is that you’re told on the front of the bottle what ingredients are in the product. No longer do I have to try and figure out what “Summer Sunshine” is going to do to my hair. Speaking of smell, these products have an amazing fragrance to them. And the scent is so natural. My shampoo smells like lavender and my conditioner smells like tea tree oil, exactly what is in the product.
I’ve been using both of these products for a little over two months now and I only have praises for both of them. My hair doesn’t feel dry anymore and it finally has some life to it. The best of both worlds!
As a quick note – please keep in mind that this product works for my scalp and my hair. And while it works for me, it may not work for you. But I still highly recommend it!
