3 makeup highlighters you will fall in love with
Do you want your skin to have a healthy shine?
Are you obsessed with the youthful glow that people seem to have lately?
Do you want an easy to use beauty product to incorporate into your makeup routine?
If you answered yes to any of these questions then I would like to welcome you to the world of highlighters!
Taking over the beauty community by storm, it seems like we hear about a new release every day! Between Kylie Cosmetics, Fenty Beauty, KKW Beauty, and so much more, highlighters have quickly become a crowd favorite! I’ll admit that they’ve totally sucked me in as well. So I’ve come up with a list of three different highlighters that are perfect for you to try! Whether they’re a completely new product to you, or you’ve been using them on the regular, you’ll be sure to find something below.

Urban Decay Naked Flushed in Going Native
What more appropriate place to start than with the first highlighter I ever purchased? If you’re looking to seriously enter the contouring/highlighting world, I highly recommend this palette by Urban Decay. Consisting of a bronzer, highlighter, and blush, this is the perfect choice for somebody looking for an all-in-one type of product without having to break the bank.
The highlighter has a good pigment but isn’t super intense. Ideal for when you’re just learning where it’ll look best on your face. This palette does come in a good selection of different colors for different skin tones, so if you’re looking at this and saying “no way – this would look terrible on my skin” Urban Decay has got you covered.
e.l.f. Baked Highlighter in Moonlight Pearls
While this product might not be as pigmented as the other two, I wanted to include it for a couple of different reasons. The first is that it’s only $4. Um, yes please! The second is that this is a great choice for people who are interested in highlighters but don’t want to fully commit yet. The shade isn’t as shimmery, so you don’t have to worry about putting some on and BOOM looking like you’re covered in sweat (there’s a fine line between a healthy glow and being too shiny).
Unfortunately, just using a brush to apply this product won’t cut it. So I recommend getting the tip of your finger a little wet and using that. This will help immensely with the pigmentation and give you better control about where you’re putting it.
Too Faced – I Want Kandee Candy Glow
I saved the best for last! A little while ago, Kandee Johnson paired up with Too Faced and released her I Want Kandee makeup line. While all the products are really nice, this is definitely the cherry on top. This highlighter is so beautifully pigmented, you only need a small amount to get the glow you’re going for. Plus, it smells amazing. If you want to jump feet first into the highlighter world, this is what you need.
It comes in a cream form (different from the other two powders we looked at) so application is a little different. You can use your fingers or a tiny beauty blender. Make sure you only apply a small amount at first. This product is totally buildable.
